How to specify the default name of a file created from a Word template
Word automatically uses the initial text in a template for the name of the file, which is often not your preferred name. To change it, you need to set your preferred name under the properties of the file template (which is a .dotx file).
Go to: FILE > INFO > PROPERTIES
Specify your template's TITLE (this will be used as the default name when the document created from your template is saved):

Save your template. Any new documents created from your template file will default to he name specified.
