How to Enable or Disable Inline Images in BrandMail Web

BrandMail Web allows you to control whether email signature images are inserted inline (embedded directly in the email) or added as linked images. This setting helps you choose between maximum visual fidelity or faster email composition. These settings are available in the new Outlook for Windows, Outlook on the Web, and Outlook for Mac. 

What Are Inline Images?

Add images Inline = YES
  1. BrandMail Web inserts the actual image files directly into your email signature.
  2. Recipients see your signature images immediately.
  3. No need for recipients to right-click to “Download Pictures.”
Add images Inline = NO
  1. BrandMail Web uses image links rather than embedded images.
  2. Email composition is slightly faster.
  3. Recipients may need to right-click once to allow images from you (typical Outlook behavior).

Change inline image settings

  1. Open a new email: Start with a blank email in Outlook.
  2. Click the BrandMail Web icon. This opens the BrandMail Web panel.
  3. Click on Settings. You will see the BrandMail Web Settings screen (as shown below).
  4. Locate the “Add Images Inline” option
  5. Choose one of the following: YES – embed the actual signature images. NO – use linked images instead.
  6. Click Save Settings. Your changes are stored immediately.
  7. Discard the email. You can safely close the email draft. The change applies automatically from your next composed message.


Info
Important: If you use more than one version of Outlook (e.g., New Outlook + Outlook Online), each environment has its own BrandMail Web settings. You need to update them separately.
